European Design

Study the fine points of European design featuring one of the best teachers from Holland. You’ll explore design styles using techniques perfected by famous Dutch and German floral artists – including formal liner style designs, hand-tied bouquets and armatures. With hands-on time in the workroom, you’ll learn firsthand how to improve your design skills and how to balance materials visually in a floral composition. Els Hazenberg AIFD AAF, Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, has taught at the Teleflora Education Center every year since it opened 27 years ago – and comes back this year for a return engagement. She is one of five individuals to receive AIFD’s Award of Design Influence and has a remarkable career of impressive floral industry accomplishments.
