Teleflora Delivery Increase 

You asked and we listened! In response to the higher delivery costs that member florists are incurring, we are pleased to announce increased delivery allowances on Teleflora.com Headquarter orders. As of June 13 2012, all orders from Teleflora.com will increase the included delivery fee from $7 to $10.

June 13, 2012.

Are all bouquet prices on teleflora.com increasing $3?
Unlike other wire services, we have implemented this delivery allowance increase by increasing the end consumer price ($3) on the vast majority - approximately 90% - of our bouquets. 

To ensure that our bouquet lineup remains competitively priced, we have reduced the recipes for 10% of our bouquets. Because we have reduced the wholesale costs on these bouquets to leave more room for delivery, headquarters orders will not see an overall increase in price on these products.  

How is this different from the delivery fee increases enacted by other wire services?
Unlike other wire services, Teleflora has comprehensively re-priced and revised the recipes our merchandise assortment to implement the new $10 delivery fee. With our approach, the delivery allowance increase is intended to make every Teleflora.com order more profitable and will be passed on to you, the florists who fulfill 100% of Teleflora orders. 

What about the low priced bouquets? Will the order total be higher for these orders than they were before? 
We have increased the price on three low priced bouquets: Make a Wish, What a Treat and Dancing in Daisies. We will continue to offer a small selection of bouquets at the key price point of $29.99, but these orders will always be priced to include a $10 delivery fee. 

In addition to the Delivery Fee Increase, has Teleflora made any other changes to teleflora.com? 
In order to manage customer expectations, we have added an “orientation” bullet point to all bouquet descriptions on teleflora.com that communicates to consumers whether a bouquet is designed as one-sided or all-around. 

Will I receive new FSG pages that will reflect these bouquet changes?

How will this impact Teleflora products on my eFlorist site?
eFlorist websites will be updated automatically on 6/13 with new pricing on all products listed below and new images where applicable.

What does this mean for the holiday-codified bouquets featured in the new Resource Guide?
Prices listed in the Resource Guide do not include delivery. Once new holiday Resource Guide bouquets go live, they will be priced with a $10 delivery fee.  (To get to the final price, add $10 to all prices listed in the Resource Guide.) 

It costs me more than $10 for delivery. Why is the increase only $3?
We closely monitor pricing for many different national floral categories, including delivery charges. We made this change to reflect a fair average for increased costs incurred by retail florists across our network. 

Why do you charge a service fee on teleflora.com that far exceeds the $10 you provide florists for delivery?
We constantly compete for florists online to obtain orders that would otherwise have gone to competitors who ship direct to the consumer, bypassing the retail florist. The cost of obtaining these orders is high, often in excess of $25 to procure one order for a receiving florist. On many occasions, we actually lose money on orders, even with the service charge, but look at it as an investment to keep orders within our network where they are ALWAYS fulfilled by a retail florist.

What bouquets have recipe changes and where can I find these new recipes?
These recipes can be found on MyTeleflora.com, and will be updated in your POS system by 7/23.

Please note that there are some bouquets that have no change in recipe, image or SRP since they were already priced with a $10 delivery.

Each season approximately 2-3 bouquets will continue to be featured at $29.99 in order to remain competitive in various marketing channels. (Note these bouquets are priced with the $10 delivery as well.)
