A confident, skilled designer today really needs to understand one guiding principle of floristry: How to create maximum visual impact with materials – and how to sell those creative ideas to clients. Designed for the experienced floral artist who wants to reinvent and rethink their approach to design – you’ll see and be inspired by the latest new products, new design styles, new flower varieties and learn efficiency techniques to increase profitability. Class participants will work individually and in teams to create designs in a series of exercises intended to change your perspective on daily floristry.

Hitomi Gilliam AIFD of Vancouver, BC, Canada is an international floral superstar and artist who has authored several books on design. A former retailer, she is the recipient of the AIFD Award of Design Influence and she travels and does floral demonstrations for garden clubs and professional florists.
