Using Business Cards to Market Your Shop
Chances are you have business cards, but are you using them to their fullest benefit? Here are ways to use your cards to market your shop:
Post your business cards everywhere. Check for bulletin boards at the library, school campuses, supermarkets and office supply stores; any place your cards can be seen by a lot of people.
Include your card when you pay your bills. You never know who is opening the mail and might need your services or pass your card to someone who does.
Print discount coupons on the back of your cards. When your card also serves as a coupon, people will be more likely to hang onto it.
Distribute your cards everywhere. Always carry a supply with you, especially when you're going to a meeting (school board, town hall, church function), or to a place where there are a lot of people (the park, concert, flea market). You never know when you might be asked for your card.
Leave your card as a sign that you came by any time you stop to visit people who aren't home or at their business, instead of writing a note. People will keep cards, while they will throw away written messages.
