Lesson 3: Design Basics – Ribbon Covered Heart 
 
Plan the ribbon placements to lead to a single point on the upper right side of the heart. Using the back (dull) side of the satin ribbon, fold the ribbon pieces and pin in place to create a starburst effect. 
 
Wrap each ribbon piece around the side of the plastic heart form and attach with straight pins. Secure the ribbon in the center with pins also. Overlap the ribbon pieces to create the pleated effect and cover the base.

Add a water-soaked and drained IGLU® Grande holder (available from Smithers-Oasis) to the center of the starburst. Wire and glue the holder in place.
